Sinclair Secondary School opened in September 1994, atop the site of the old Sinclair one room schoolhouse, with eight hundred students and fifty-four teachers. Our basic principles for teaching and learning centered on the flexible use of time, integration of technology in learning, student empowerment, and a teacher advisor program. We are fully networked with five hundred and fifty computers.
Sinclair has grown! We now number almost 2000 students and boast a teaching staff of over one hundred. We serve a wide diversity of needs including Special Education and French Immersion students. Our commitment is to the future of our students. By providing innovative learning opportunities in a variety of settings, our goal is for Sinclair graduates to be successful contributing members of their many communities. Sinclair's view to the future is evidenced by the priorities of technology acquisitions and staff training. All students will utilize technology in the learning environment.
